Privacy Policy
This policy describes what istanbul-international-ist-airport.com does with personal data. It is deliberately specific: it lists the data this site actually collects, not every category a website could theoretically collect.

Who is responsible
The site is operated by the operator of this website(“we”). We decide why and how the data described below is processed. Questions about this policy, including requests to access or delete your data, can be sent through our contact page.
Reading the site
You can read every page here without giving us any personal information. We do not ask you to register, and there is no user account.
Like any web server, ours records technical request data — IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status, referrer and browser user agent. These logs exist to keep the site available and to detect abuse such as automated scraping. They are not used to build a profile of you and are not combined with the form data below.
When you write to us
The contact form asks for a name, an email address and your message. Submitting it also records the interface language and the time of submission. We store this in our own database and send a copy to the editorial mailbox so somebody can reply.
We use this data for one purpose: to read your message and answer it. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent contact details to anybody. To limit spam and abuse, the form endpoint counts recent requests per IP address for a short period and rejects submissions that exceed a threshold; those counters live in memory and are not stored.
Correspondence is kept while it is useful — typically no longer than 24 months — and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your message sooner and we will do it.
Cookies and local storage
We do not run our own analytics and we do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own. The only value the site itself stores in your browser is a flag remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it is not shown on every page. It sits in your browser’s local storage, contains no identifier, and clearing site data removes it.
Third parties embedded in our pages may set their own cookies — see the next two sections. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site remains readable if you do.
Third-party content in our pages
Some pages embed services we do not control. When such a block loads, your browser contacts that provider directly, and the provider can see your IP address and the page you are on:
- GetTransfer — the airport transfer search widget on our transport pages.
- GetExperience— tour and activity offers linked from the “things to do” pages.
- Poilabs — the interactive terminal map.
- OpenWeatherMap — current Istanbul weather on the weather page.
- Content delivery networks serving images and icons used across the site.
Each provider processes that data under its own privacy policy. If you make a booking through one of these widgets, the booking, the payment and the personal data you enter are handled by that provider — we never see your payment details.
Advertising
This site may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Where ads are served, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or read existing ones to measure delivery and to limit how often you see the same ad. Google’s own advertising policies explain what it collects and how to opt out of personalised advertising in your Google Ads settings. Where consent is legally required before such cookies are set, it is requested before the ads load.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links carry a tracking parameter so that a partner can attribute a booking to this site and pay us a commission. The parameter identifies the referring page, not you personally. It costs you nothing and does not change the price you are quoted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to its processing, or to receive a copy of it. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond. If you are in the EEA or the UK and believe we have handled your data improperly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This is a travel reference site aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes, the “last updated” date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described on this page rather than made silently.
